And on the heels of "WannaCry" comes this little jewel. Remember, all my fellow IT folks, it's been PROVEN beer is better than Tylenol for pain relief.

Yep... and this will continue until people start to get the hint that an 8-year-old OS needs to be patched a wee-bit-more than the newer ones.

Windows 7: Microsoft waves an early goodbye

Windows 7 will around until 2020? Sweet!

Windows 7 refreshed media creation!

A LOT of people still seem to be using Windows 7 but keeping it up to date can be a hassle. The folks at MS have released a guide (slash) Convenience Update Roll-up for all you Windows 7 users who need to build new.

How to hang on to Windows 7 for the long run

I cannot tell you how many companies I come across who are still running Windows 7.

Out with the old, and in with the new. Microsoft yesterday stopped providing Windows 7 Professional and Windows 8.1 licenses to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), including its PC partners and systems builders. This means that, as of today, the only way you can buy a computer running Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 is if you can still find one in stock.

This is going to be interesting. I really wish they would stick with the current update cycle and method. Very easy to install and then uninstall if necessary.

So it seems MS has a new update (patch) schedule for you all. This article also contains a download link for what I am calling an "up to date SP" for Windows 7 AND Windows 8 meaning; you can download the entire pack and forgo Windows update on new system builds! So, so SWEET! Oh, and this also applies to Windows Server 2008 R2!

This is SO COOL! I love watching the boot screen over and over and over again! Makes me feel all warm inside.

This is something, if you are still installing Windows 7, you might want to look into doing.
